Saint Peter's Church is a blessed community of Faith grounded in the power of God's transforming love, where Jesus Christ welcomes all to abundant life. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we follow Him in prayer and praise, study and service.
Week of May 12, 2019

In your daily devotions this week pray for the Anglican Church of Korea; Church of the Good Shepherd in Berlin, Pitman and Rahway; the members and ministry of the Companion Diocese Committee and the ministry to the Imprisoned; the ministry of Bishops; Rosemarie Broderick, Christopher Cox, Susan Cushinotto, Judith Krom, David Lawson-Beck, and Joseph Sweeney, deacons of our diocese; and Reginald Nuamah, Peter Stimpson, Jose Torres and Charles Lochner, priests of our diocese.

Status of Calling a New Priest: The vestry wanted to take this opportunity to address rumors that are circulating about the status in calling a new priest for St. Peter's. As you are aware, the discernment committee and vestry have been working very hard in finalizing this process. We are getting close to making an announcement to the congregation, however, we must adhere to and follow all of the guidelines set forth by the Diocese of New Jersey. We can understand your anxiety as we have reached the 10-month mark since Fr. Don's retirement. We ask for your continued patience, trust and prayers over the next few weeks until we are able to make an announcement as to who will be the next priest for St. Peter's.

Thank you to the large group of St. Peter's parishioners and friends enjoyed dinner and fellowship at the Panera Bread at the Promenade this past Tuesday evening. Thanks to everyone who came out for this event in support of our shared ministry with Redemption School, Haiti.

St. Peter's IOT continues its sale of Acme and ShopRite cards following all services. Cards are available in denominations of $20., $50., and $100.00 and are as good as cash. Although you pay nothing for using these cards, ShopRite & Acme both donate 5% of each card's value to St. Peter's. The sale of these cards is the major fundraiser towards our annual $2,200.00 pledge to Redemption School ($2,000.) and the Haiti Partnership Program.

S.O.A.R. - This month our small group will finish the year with a tour of Cross Keys one room School House. We will meet at the school at 11:30 AM on May 14th for the tour then head over to the Marlton Diner for lunch. Cross Keys School is located on Mill Street. This will be our last meeting for this year and hopefully meet again in September.

Acolyte Training will be given after the 10:15 service on May 19th. This training is available for both new Acolytes and existing Acolytes. Any questions contact Jack Hobson at either or 609.504.0432.
