In your daily devotions this week pray for the Anglican Church in Kenya; Ascension Church in Gloucester; members and ministry of the Fresh Start Program; members and ministry of the Planned Giving Committee; Churches in Transition; Magdalena Aders, William Balmer, Carolyn Bradley, Paul Chalakani, Eve Chamberlain, Naomi Cressman, Dorothea Hospador, Jorge Martinez, Chizoba Nwankwo, Karen Reeman and Trisha Thorme, deacons of our diocese; and Patricia Pierce, John Lock, and Margaret Sterchi, priests of our diocese.

The Flowers on the Altar are given to the greater glory of God and in loving memory of Willard Eldred, father of Sue Santangelo; Paul Joos, husband of Maureen Joos; and Susan Wallace DeSalvo, sister of Nancy Castiglia.

May food drive - Suggested donations for May include pasta, pasta sauce, and canned pasta (spaghetti, spaghetti-o's, ravioli, lasagna). As always, other items are also welcome. Thank you very much for your continued support of our food drive for the people served by the Christian Caring Center.

Grocery shopping with a cash card? Try it, you'll like it! The International Outreach Team thanks those who faithfully support St. Peter's companionship with Redemption School by purchasing Acme or ShopRite cards, and invites the rest of you to take advantage of this easy way to shop and to support our work in Haiti. Both Acme and ShopRite cards are available in denominations of $20.00, $50.00, and $100.00. You pay nothing extra for the cards, which never expire and can be used to the last penny. Every $50.00 you spend on our cards covers the cost of two full days of school, uniform and books included, for a student at Redemption School.

Your Vestry presently is focused on improving and fixing the LIGHTING at St. Peter's both INSIDE and OUTSIDE our buildings. Please become part of the team to beautify and improve our facilities!

S.O.A.R. meeting in May. Please join us for lunch at the Medport Diner at noon on Tuesday May 8th. (Separate checks) Our fledgling group needs to see how many of you are still interested in pursuing this ministry. We'll have lunch and discuss our plans and concerns for next fall. Hope to see you there. Thanks. Edie

Last Sunday School is on May 20. Come and join the last few Sundays!

Calling all foreign language readers - We invite you to be a part of St. Peter's celebration of the Day of Pentecost (Saturday and Sunday, May 19 & 20) by participating in the traditional reading of Luke's description of the first Christian Pentecost (Acts 2:1-21) in as many foreign languages as possible. Readings are normally quite short, and your script will be provided to you in advance. We are looking for participants at all services. You may sign up on the narthex table, speak to Deacon Helen, or email her at dcnhelen@stpetersmedford.org. Thank you.
