Week of March 24, 2019

In your daily devotions this week pray for the Church of Hong Kong; the members and ministry of Church Vestries, the Benefits Committee, the Diocesan Altar Guild and the Investment Advisory Committee; and Lisa Mitchell, James Jones, III, Gretchen Zimmerman and Philip Carr-Jones, priests of our diocese.

The Sanctuary Candle is given to the greater glory of God and in loving memory of Ruth Scarpulla, mother of Stephen Scarpulla.

March food drive - Suggested donations for March include baby food, formula, peanut butter, jelly, and canned soup. As always, other items are also welcome. Thank you very much for your continued support of our food drive for the people served by the Christian Caring Center.

Don't miss the 10th year of Lent Madness. This is based on basketball's March Madness only we use saints or holy people from our past and from modern times as well. You can find out more about this interesting Lenten exercise by going to www.lentmadness.org or you can pick up a Saintly Scorecard book in the narthex. Watch our Lent Madness poster to see the saints who advance to the next round or who are eliminated each day. Who will win the Golden Halo? We will find out on Spy Wednesday (the Wednesday of Holy Week).

Lenten Adult Forum continues this Sunday at 9am in Moore Memorial Chapel. Deacon Ken will lead participants in learning to walk with Jesus in his Way of Love and into the experience of a transformed life. Together, we will learn to develop a rule of life based on "Turning, Praying, Learning, Blessing, Resting, Worshiping, and Going" forth into the world for Christ. It's never too late to join us! Led by Deacon Ken.

Lenten Morning and Evening Prayer: Members of St. Peter's read Morning and Evening Prayer in Moore Memorial Chapel on weekdays throughout the season of Lent. Morning Prayer is read Monday-Friday at 9am. Evening Prayer is read Monday-Thursday at 7pm. Please join us.

Walk the Stations of the Cross, Friday nights in Lent at 7 pm. During this devotional practice, we prayerfully experience fourteen events drawn from the Gospel accounts of Jesus' Passion. This half-hour service takes place in the church.

ShopRite & Acme cards are available for purchase after all services. Thank you for your continued support of the students of Redemption School, Haiti.

Grounds cleanup on Sunday, March 31, after the 1015 Service, 1130-200 pm. What's needed: Work gloves, rakes, tarps, and a can-do spirit! If you would like to volunteer but at a different time, please call / text John Colaianni 609.792.4055.

Words of Wisdom for Rite 13 In the spirit of such books as "Life's Little Instruction Book", we are compiling advice from people at St. Peter's. Please use the half-sheets on the round table in the Narthex to give a small bit of advice (one sentence or less) to our young teenagers who will be celebrating an important rite of passage ("Rite-13") on Sunday, March 31st. Your advice can be something practical (like "Don't go to bed with gum in your mouth.") or something more profound (like "Be content to seem who you really are.") Both are important to know!! Leave your sheet in the basket to be included in their book of wise words. Thank you.

We need small, wrapped candies for the Easter Egg Hunt that will be held after the 10:15 am service on Easter Day. Please bring these is in by April 14th and place them in the baskets in the Narthex or in the Sunday School wing. Thank you.
