ShopRite Cards continue to be available for sale after all services, in the usual denominations of $20.00, $50.00 & $100.00. Thank you to all who now support or will support our major fundraiser to benefit the 400 students of Redemption School in Gonaives, Haiti. Remember: Each time you purchase a card, St. Peter's receives 5% of the card's value, at no cost to you.

August Food Drive - Suggested donations for August include baby food, formula, peanut butter, jelly and canned soup. As always, other items are also welcome. Thank you very much for your continued support of our food drive for the people served by the Christian Caring Center.

Operation Fill-a-Backpack: We're collecting school supplies and backpacks for children served by Oaks Integrated Care. Please help fill the labeled bin in the narthex July 29-August 13. Suggestions include backpack for boy or girl, insulated lunch bag, organizers and binders, pens, markers, highlighters, pencils, erasers, notebooks, loose-leaf paper, rulers, scissors, glue sticks, index cards, book covers, report folders, calculators, tissue packets and hand sanitizers. Thanks for your support!

Letters of Light: Please take a moment to stop by the round table in Williams Hall and send a note to one of our St. Peter's parishioners who are home bound or ill. It only takes a minute but can really brighten someone's day! We have received lots of positive feedback from folks who have received a note. Simply write your note, sign your name, put it in an envelope, address it and leave it the small basket on the table. Lisa will put on postage and mail it. Not sure what to say? Just say hello, that you are thinking about them, praying for them, or sending a smile. It doesn't have to be long, just heart-felt. Also, if you have any extra note cards you can share for this ministry, please place them in the red box on the table. Thanks so much!

St. Peter's Spring Grounds Clean Up Day will be Sunday, August 20th after the 10:15 service. Come to church in jeans and t-shirts for a general clean-up of the church grounds. We'll have lunch for all participants. This is also a great opportunity for young parishioners to meet community service requirements for school, scouts, honor societies, etc. John Colaianni, Vestry Chair - Property and Grounds. The Protestant Community Church invites all interested persons to share our International Day of Peace, "Loving our Neighbor" event, at 5 PM Sept. 24, followed by a vegetarian meal. Please join us at an interfaith, facilitated, round table discussion. These facilitated discussions will focus on our similarities, differences, and unique traditions of our different faiths. It will give us time to reflect on how we grow in our own faiths, and most important how can we grow as loving neighbors to each other. To register or for more information please call Kathy Roberts at 609 744- 9979. Teens may register for a table with others of the same age.
