Date posted: Fri, Aug 17th, 2018

In your daily devotions this week pray for the Church of South India; St. Bernard's Church in Bernardsville; St. Bartholomew;s Church in Cherry Hill; the members and ministry of the Standing Committee; the Urban Ministry and the Women's Commission.

The Flowers on the Altar are given to the greater glory of God and in loving memory of Paul James Lusk, father of Dave Lusk; and Geoffrey Hedden, husband of Ruth Hedden.

August food drive - Suggested donations for August include baby food, formula, peanut butter, jelly and canned soup. As always, other items are also welcome. Thank you very much for your continued support of our food drive for the people served by the Christian Caring Center.

ShopRite & Acme cards are available for sale in the narthex following all services and are redeemable for full face value. St. Peter's receives 5% of each purchase to help fund faculty salaries and other needs at Redemption School, Gonaives, Haiti. Thank you.

Updated Deacon's Office Hours through Labor Day: Wednesdays, August 22, and 29 from 9am-12 noon. Please feel welcome to drop in!

Fill-a-Backpack: Thank you to everyone who contributed backpacks and school supplies for Oaks Integrated Care. St. Peter's generous donations benefit Burlington County children and teens with physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Thanks for your support!

Today during the service, take a moment to look around. Is there someone from St. Peter's you haven't seen in a while? Let them know that you miss them! On the long table in the narthex, there are postcards for you to send to a friend who hasn't been here in a while. Feel free to take one, write a note to the person and mail it, or fill it out and leave it in the basket and Lisa will mail them. Please be sure to sign your name so that they know who sent it.

Please remember our ill and home bound parishioners. Send them a "letter of light" on the round table in Williams Hall.

Sunday School 2018-2019: As we plan for the 2018-2019 Sunday School year we are in need of teachers for Grades 1-3 and 4-6. Each grade has 2 teams of 2 teachers who team-teach every other week so that no one is teaching alone in a class. Curriculum is supplied and as much support and resources as you need is given by your Director of Christian Formation, Sue Legnani.

We also need helpers in the Godly Play room (Pre-K to Kindergarten). Those people assist the teacher, who is the story teller, by helping the children find and use the materials in the room, help with snack and with getting the children settled for the lesson time.

Finally, we always need folks to watch children in the Nursery (age birth to three years old). The more Nursery volunteers we have the fewer times you will serve in the Nursery. This is an important service for parents of young children and a great way for teens to work on community service for school or Scouts. An orientation to the Nursery will be given to acquaint new volunteers before they are placed on the schedule.

For more information please contact Sue Legnani at or 609-654-2963.

Oktoberfest Medford - September 15th, 12pm-7pm in Freedom Park! We need your help to represent St. Peter's! We will have a photo booth, handouts, pictures and candy to share our church with our community. Please contact Beckie McCammitt or see the sign up sheet in William's hall to help! 856-313-9325.

During the weekend of September 8 and 9, we will be holding "Congregational Conversations" which will be facilitated by Canon Connie White, Assistant Transitions Officer in the Diocese of NJ. We ask for the congregation's participation and input into the type of priest St. Peter's needs in the future. The information obtained through these conversations will be used to complete our required parish profile which will be posted and used as a recruitment tool during our search process. Please plan to attend either at 3:30 pm on Saturday, September 8 or at 8:45 am on Sunday, September 9. Light refreshments will be provided.
