Week of July 7, 2019
Date posted: Fri, Jul 5th, 2019

In your daily devotions this week pray for the Church of Papua, New Guinea; the members and ministry of the Emergency Response Team; the Black Clergy Caucus; the Migrant Ministry and the ministry of Diocesan Chancellor; and Jane Brady-Close, Linus Amonu and Peter Bridge, priests of our diocese.

The Flowers on the Altar are given to the greater glory of God and in loving memory of Edith and Jim Edwards, from the Reed and Kelly Family.

July food drive - Suggested donations for July include pancake mix, syrup, oatmeal, cereal, and canned fruit. As always, other items are also welcome. Thank you very much for your continued support of our food drive for the people served by the Christian Caring Center.

Thank you to all who continue to faithfully support St. Peter’s companionship with Redemption School, Haiti, by purchasing and using Acme or ShopRite cards. Both Acme & ShopRite cards are available for sale after all services in denominations of $20.00, $50.00, and $100.00.

Sunday School 2018-2019:  As we plan for the 2018-2019 Sunday School year we are in need of teachers for Grades 1-3 and 4-6.  Each grade has 2 teams of 2 teachers who team-teach every other week so that no one is teaching alone in a class.  Curriculum is supplied and as much support and resources as you need is given by your Director of Christian Formation, Sue Legnani.

We also need a teacher and helpers in the Godly Play room (Pre-K to Kindergarten).  Helpers assist the teacher, who is the story teller, by helping the children find and use the materials in the room, help with snack and with getting the children settled for the lesson time.  Training will be given before the start of Sunday School on Sept. 8th.

Finally, we always need folks to watch children in the Nursery (age birth to three years old).  The more Nursery volunteers we have the fewer times you will serve in the Nursery.  This is an important service for parents of young children and a great way for teens to work on community service for school or Scouts.  An orientation to the Nursery will be given to acquaint new volunteers before they are placed on the schedule.

For more information please contact Sue Legnani at slegnani@stpetersmedford.org  or 609-654-2963.
