In your daily devotions this week pray for the Anglican Centre in Rome; the members and ministry of the Companion Diocese Committee; the New Jersey Ministry to the Imprisoned; the ministry of Bishops; Carmen Viola, Archdeacon of our diocese; Rosemarie Broderick, Christopher Cox, Susan Cushinotto, Judith Krom, David Lawson-Beck and Joseph Sweeney, deacons of our diocese; and Reginald Nuahmah, Peter Stimpson, Jose Torres, and Charles Lochner, priests of our diocese.

The Flowers on the Altar are given to the greater glory of God and in loving memory of Grace Santangelo, mother of Joe Santangelo.

May food drive - Suggested donations for May include pasta, pasta sauce, and canned pasta (spaghetti, spaghetti-o's, ravioli, lasagna). As always, other items are also welcome. Thank you very much for your continued support of our food drive for the people served by the Christian Caring Center.

Grocery shopping with a cash card? Try it, you'll like it! The International Outreach Team thanks those who faithfully support St. Peter's companionship with Redemption School by purchasing Acme or ShopRite cards, and invites the rest of you to take advantage of this easy way to shop and to support our work in Haiti. Both Acme and ShopRite cards are available in denominations of $20.00, $50.00, and $100.00. You pay nothing extra for the cards, which never expire and can be used to the last penny. Every $50.00 you spend on our cards covers the cost of two full days of school, uniform and books included, for a student at Redemption School.

Your Vestry presently is focused on improving and fixing the LIGHTING at St. Peter's both INSIDE and OUTSIDE our buildings. Please become part of the team to beautify and improve our facilities!
Our Goal is to raise $12,500 for these projects. WE NEED YOU TO HELP LIGHT THE WAY! Make checks payable to St. Peter's. Any questions, contact John Colaianni.

Calling all foreign language readers - We invite you to be a part of St. Peter's celebration of the Day of Pentecost (Saturday and Sunday, May 19 & 20) by participating in the traditional reading of Luke's description of the first Christian Pentecost (Acts 2:1-21) in as many foreign languages as possible. Readings are normally quite short, and your script will be provided to you in advance. We are looking for participants at all services. You may sign up on the narthex table, speak to Deacon Helen, or email her at Thank you.

Rummage Sale recap - Thank you to everyone who donated items, sorted items, worked the day of the sale, helped clean-up and drive loads of leftovers (15 car loads) to Goodwill after the sale and who also bought stuff. Your hard work helped to raise $1397.15 that will be used to fund the St. Paul's Breakfast Program and our support of Redemption School in Haiti. A BIG thanks go to: Fr. Don, Danielle and John Colaianni, Dcn Helen and Mike Orlando, Mary Allen, Maureen Joos, Bev Scollay, Ben Jones, Tiffany Myers, Gena Krug, Bob Spalding, Ken Carpinelli, Roger Norris, Joe Santangelo, Kelly Wu and Sue and Bob Legnani.

Happy Mother's Day
