In your daily devotions this week pray for the Church of Ndokwa, Nigeria; the Church of the Good Shepherd in Berlin, Pitman and Rahway; the churches in Transition; the members and ministry of the Fresh Start Program; Magdalena Aders, William Balmer, Carolyn Bradley, Papul Chalakani, Eve Chamberlain, Naomi Cressman, Dorothea Hospador, Jorge Martinez, Chizoba Nwankwo, Karen Reeman and Trisha Thorme, deacons of our diocese; and Patricia Pierce, John Lock Margaret Sterchi, Reginald Nuamah, Peter Stimpson and Jose Torres, priests of our diocese.

The Flowers on the Altar are given to the greater glory of God and in celebration of his life, Paul Joos, husband of Maureen Joos; and in loving memory of Willard Eldred, father of Sue Santangelo and Susan Wallace DeSalvo, sister of Nancy Castiglia.

Confirmation Class is today at 9:00 am and continues through May 14th. A Thursday night class at 7:30 pm will also be offered.

St. Peter's Annual Rummage Sale – Save the Date! On Saturday, May 13th, 7:30 am –12:00 noon, (rain or shine !) we will have our annual rummage sale. So, if you're doing some spring cleaning, please save the following items for us and drop them off in the parish hall the week before the Rummage Sale (May 9 - May 12). Glassware sets, dish sets, pots and pans, bakeware • Home decorative items, area rugs, small appliances • Bedding sets, blankets • Clothing and shoes, especially children's • Women's handbags • CDs, DVDs. All donated items must not be more than gently used. SORRY, NO ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED THE DAY OF THE SALE. Items we cannot accept include TVs and electronics, luggage and personal items, such as undergarments, socks and slippers. We will need volunteers to help unpack, sort, and set up tables Tuesday, May 9th - Friday, May 12th from 6:00- 8:00 pm. We will also need help the day of the rummage sale with checkout, cleanup and transporting unsold items to Good Will in Medford. This is a great event for high school students to get in hours for community service! FIRST SUNDAY Cleanup Volunteers Wanted ! A hearty band of volunteers is going to do some yardwork around the church grounds on the FIRST SUNDAY of each month, following the 1015am service. Our next event, on Sunday, May 7th, will be a CLEAN UP.
Tools needed are rakes, loppers, work gloves, and a can-do spirit ! We will also need a chainsaw person for light branch cutting, and a volunteer or two to make a pickup truck run to the dump the following week to dispose of some debris. ShopRite Cards continue to be available for sale after all services, in the usual denominations of $20.00, $50.00 & $100.00. Thank you to all who now support or will support our major fundraiser to benefit the 400 students of Redemption School in Gonaives, Haiti. Remember: Each time you purchase a card, St. Peter's receives 5% of the card's value, at no cost to you.
