St. Peter’s parish is a growing, vibrant Christian community. Its members are serious about their faith, seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and dedicated to sharing God’s  Word. We have high ambitions for St. Peter’s outreach to the community. Our members value being fed spiritually at the Eucharist and are gladdened by the opportunity to come to the altar for prayers of healing. We value the friendliness and mutual support of each other.  We value the opportunities for education for adults and children on Sunday mornings, at other times during the week.

Our Core Values

Members value being fed spiritually at the Eucharist; they are gladdened by the opportunity to come to the altar for prayers of healing. They appreciate the flexibility of the times of worship services and like the variety of worship styles afforded by the Book of Common Prayer. Our members value the friendliness and mutual support of each other. They value the opportunities for education for adults and children on Sunday mornings and small group Bible studies.  Many people told of the enjoyment they get from the fellowship at coffee hours. They also like the church’s outreach to the poor and needy in the community and surrounding areas.

When asked where they would like to see St. Peter’s in five years the responses were connected with growth; members would like to see the size of the choir increase and would also like contemporary music and hymnals. The congregation would like to see more volunteers help St. Peter’s grow and become more of a spiritual resource center for the community. Our members would like the church to do more in outreach to the needy in the community. There was a desire expressed for a growth in stewardship so the mortgage could be paid off and the church could fully support the diocese. They would like greater involvement with the diocese. Most importantly, the membership would like the ministry to youth and young adults to expand and grow.
